There’s a range of games in PlayStation Plus’ lineup for February, which drops on the 7th. I can’t not “aaww” at the LittleBigPlanet games, and though I wasn’t a huge fan of Not a Hero on PC, I might really enjoy blasting away at foul-mouthed pixel enemies from my couch.
As ever, these games are only “free” if you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.
PlayStation 4
- LittleBigPlanet 3
- Not a Hero
PlayStation 3
- Starwhal (cross buy with PS4)
- Anna — Extended Edition
PlayStation Vita
- Ninja Senki DX (cross buy with PS4)
- TorqueL (cross buy with PS4)

Happy for a triple A title, but not so much that it’s LBP3, I never really enjoyed those games. Le sigh
Agreed. Nice to see a Triple-A at last but meh..
For a moment I got my hopes up that this would be the start of a trend for Sony but then I realised it’s another tease. Here come another nine months of very little of note.
Man are you kidding? PS+ has been great for ages! Titan Souls, Invisible Inc, This War of Mine, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture are just a few I can think off the top of my head at the moment. Sure the aren’t “Triple A” games, but they’re all really great!
I worded that a little more harshly than I should have. You are right in that there has been some real quality but in terms of dollar value, I question whether PS+ is actually worth it for PS4 owners who don’t have/use any other Sony consoles.
Not A Hero is a fun action game by the people who made Olli Olli, recommended even if you don’t normally like indies.
Looking forward to LBP3. I really enjoyed 1 and played a little of 2. Not a game I would buy, but it will be fun to play around with.
Sony really have given up on trying with these ps+ titles, it’s all just indie and 1st party stuff now
Eh, got LBP3 for free when I got the console, never touched it then. Super meh
Make Armello FREE!!
Oh the kids will be happy about LBP3
Have sony ever released a AAA title on PS+? I’ve had the service for 18months now and can’t remember having access to one?
I assume you mean for PS4? Almost every month has had something AAA for PS3 for a long time now.
Off top of my head, the PS4 has received Injustice and stretching the term AAA toward sheer popularity – Rocket League.
The thing people forget is that the PS3 had been around a while before PS+ was started. so there was a backlog of AAA games which had already been out for a while. LBP3 might just be the start of the AAA titles creeping their way onto PS+ for PS4
Looking at wiki the first PS+ was released June 2010, 3.5 years after the release of the PS3. The PS4 is nearly that old. It’s about we got some AAAs. Killzone, an old AC or COD, or one of the remasters.
I can’t believe everyone hates so much on indie games when these PS+ games are released – I’ve tried a ton of games that have turned out to be sweet as thanks to the service. I was always in the “I will never like Titan Souls” boat until it was free and I tried it – turns out it was super good and totally my thing! Definitely worth just checking out some of this stuff – crazy the kinds of things that you never know you’d love.
2 of my favourite ever PS+ games are Rebel Galaxy and Rocket League. Amazing games!
