Given that people were buying stolen Switch units and unboxing them online already, it made sense for Nintendo to follow suit.
There’s not much of a surprise here – it’s an unboxing of the Switch, the parts of which most people are familiar with by now. But if you missed what leaked online, then the video below is a good opportunity to catch up.
The box is split into two layers, with the cabling, some minimal documentation, the docking station and the Joycon grip on the bottom. There’s a HDMI cable and the adapter down there as well.
The guts of the box, pictured.
A single Joycon pictured; you can make out the pairing button in the middle.
You can see the adapter here; it’s not too big.

It could never compare to Iwata’s wii u unboxing, complete with traffic-controlling white gloves.
*manly tears*
Nintendo bought a stolen switch and did an unboxing?
Considering how little Nintendo has been saying about Switch lately, it could well be that this is the first time they’ve gotten to unbox one themselves :P.
