I have no idea how, but Dark Horse is going to somehow make that happen.
Dark Horse has announced a new licensing deal with the team behind MST3K today, which will include a variety of products based on the cult classic, and the aforementioned comic book charting the adventures in B-movie commentary of Joel, Mike, Crow, Gypsy and Tom.
The merchandise push is being aimed to coincide with upcoming revival of the show following its ridiculously successful Kickstarter, which makes sense, but I’m still baffled by what the hell the comic will be about. Will it just be episodes of MST3K in comic format? Will it be set between movie marathons on the satellite of love? How do you make MST3K work in a format like comics?
We’ll have to wait to find out — Dark Horse have yet to confirm when exactly the comic will start running. But it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how they pull it off.

Should be printed on transparent pages that overlay another comic from dark horse coming out the same month.
Just don’t mess with my Tintin comics. That would be sacrilege.
Making it about their “adventures” or reproducing scenes from movies would be a waste of the property.
I assume/hope it’ll be absurd silver age stories with overlaid commentary & silhouettes (with the theatre seats changed to a couch or cistern)
