So a quick apology, I thought Halo Wars 2 was coming out last week. I guess I was completely wrong about that. Turns out it’s coming out this week. Tomorrow to be precise.
Urgh, big boo-boo on my part. Sorry! Here are (some of) the games that are coming out this week.
Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One)
What is it? It’s the console-based RTS that isn’t terrible! Based in the Halo universe.
Should you care? Yeah you should care. This game is apparently super good.
Hollow Knight (PC)
What is it? This is the Australian Metroidvania I’m really excited about.
Should you care? Absolutely. Gorgeous looking game. I’m very excited to check it out.
Psychonauts In The Rhombus Of Ruin (PS4)
What is it? Psychonauts gets a VR thing.
Should you care? If you have PlayStation VR you probably need all the content you can get.
Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch (PS4)
What is it? A turn-based strategy game that was released on PC a while ago. Now on PS4.
Should you care? Pretty average.
Warhammer Quest (PS4)
What is it? A video game based on a board game. Jesus wept there are a lot of Warhammer video games.
Should you care? Sure, why not. If you like the board game. If not, well I have no idea why you’d want to play this.

Halo Wars is goooooddd.
It came out on Friday of last week for some preorders.
General release is this week.
Halo wars 2 came out last week for those that bought the Ultimate Edition. This week is for the normal edition.
Ohh and Blitz mode doesnt work in Australia because they are overseas servers and the ping is so bad that it cannot be played. Like waiting 10 seconds for a unit to move after giving it an order bad….

I downloaded the copy through the Windows Store. It was surprisingly simple to use and just worked. It is excellent fun.
yea I’m just trying to resist joining the Windows Shop. I’m not against it since I have multiple iOS devices and signing into my apple account is second nature.
part of it me being lazy, I mean I have an Origin, Uplay, Steam, GoG and multiple MMO publishers with their own ecosystem, adding the the store is another set of credentials to manage.
the other part of it is because I’m not particularly attached to my MS services like my apple one, like aside from my Win10 machine at home I don’t have a surface pro or a window phone or 365 subscription. I have a multiple iOS devices either given by work or I own myself
Of course there wouldn’t be, but I certainly hope not. If Windows Store games do not cross play with other PC storefronts then I’d rather the players aren’t split like with CoD.
Due to having both a PC and Xbox One, the Play Anywhere feature is a god send.
oh is the Windows store environment isolated from the steam / other community (for MP purposes)?

As much as I’d like to get Halo Wars for my dust gathering Xbox1S, I’m still playing through For Honor, and will soon have my hands on Zero Horizon Dawn and Zelda…..
Just for those that don’t know, the ultimate edition of Halo Wars 2 includes some minor battlepacks but it also has a full copy of Halo Wars 1. I’m not sure if 1 is playable on PC, but 2 is great on the PC. I’ve been having a blast with that over the weekend.
Well that and For Honor. Great games both of them.
I have a game called Malicious Fallen on my list of games I’m interested in, which is apparently this week. Can’t even remember what it is, but I wouldn’t have written it down if it didn’t look cool?
