Everything Coming To Netflix, Stan, Amazon And Foxtel This March

While neither Stan nor the Australian Netflix library has anything near the range of US streaming services, every month we get just a little more. Foxtel is also adding a huge number of popular titles to its on-demand streaming, and Amazon Prime is releasing its line up of original series on Prime. Read on to see all the content that will be added to their libraries during the month of March.

Netflix

This month, Netflix introduces us to Marvel's Iron Fist, and continues with weekly releases of original show Riverdale. Plus heaps of new comedy has been added, along with two of the best Nic Cage classics -- Con Air and Face/Off.

Here are some of the highlights:

Marvel's Iron Fist

Martial arts-wielding Marvel superhero Iron Fist springs to life in this live-action series charting his first season fighting crime in Hell's Kitchen.

Riverdale

Archie's got an edge. Veronica's hiding her past. Riverdale is a little darker and a lot more interesting than it was in the days of Archie Comics.

Con Air:

Newly paroled ex-con and former U.S. Ranger Cameron Poe finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the passengers seize control.

Homeland: Season 5

CIA analyst Carrie Mathison struggles with mental health and family issues while leading the war against terrorism in this political thriller series.

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video is finally available in Australia, and this month we'll be getting four new Amazon Original shows to binge. Here are the new shows available in Australia in March:

Hand Of God:

The hard-living, law-bending king of San Vicente, “Judge Maximum” has finally hit bottom as he faces trial for the murder of a cop. While his visions and the ghost of his son will slowly lead Pernell through a conspiracy that is bigger than he could have imagined, they will threaten his relationship with his wife and everything he holds dear.

Red Oaks

Starring Craig Roberts, Red Oaks transports viewers back to the summer of 1986 in suburban New Jersey, when Top Gun was #1 at the box office and life was much simpler…for everyone but the clueless members and misfit staffers of Red Oaks Country Club.

You Are Wanted:

You Are Wanted tells the story of Lukas Franke (Schweighöfer), a young hotel manager and father who is brutally torn out of his everyday life when his personal data is hacked and he finds the story of his life beginning to be rewritten. As strange news continues to emerge, Lukas finds his digital identity continuously manipulated, arousing the suspicion of the German Federal Criminal Office (BKA), who accuse him of being a member of a terrorist organisation.

Crisis In Six Scenes

Written and directed by Woody Allen, this comedy series takes place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the United States when a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down.

Foxtel On Demand

With Foxtel On Demand, you can stream shows any time you want (surprisingly) although the shows have to be a part of your package already (say, the Drama package if you want to watch Game of Thrones). Here are some of the highlights:

Scandal:

Scandal stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a former media consultant to the President, who has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite by keeping their secrets under wraps. Pope leads a team who specialise in cleaning up the lives of other people, but who cannot seem to do the same for themselves.

American Crime

American Crime is a critically acclaimed anthology crime drama starring Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton that tackles a different criminal investigation each season. Season 1 focuses on the aftermath of the murder of a veteran and brutal assault of his wife and explores the story from multiple perspectives, centred around the impact of the event on the victims' families, the suspects and their loved ones. Season 2 takes on issues of socio-economics and sexual orientation against the backdrop of two Midwestern US high schools. Season 3 will begin to air exclusively on Foxtel in March with new episodes added shortly after the US broadcast.

X-Men Apocalypse:

After the re-emergence of the world's first mutant, world-destroyer Apocalypse, the X-Men must unite to defeat his extinction level plan.

Girls, Season 6

Girls returns for its sixth and final season. Created by and starring Lena Dunham, the Emmy-winning comedy series is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their 20s.
