If you’ve been hankering for a bit of old-school platforming action with a modern look, Yooka-Laylee is out this week. Here’s the cheapest copies around the country, in store and online.
JB Hi-Fi: $49
This is actually above the average – Yooka-Laylee isn’t a full price release, which will be welcome news to a lot of people.
PlayStation Network: $47.95
How often do you see PSN cheaper than JB Hi-Fi on launch day?
BIG W: $45 (in store), $49 (online)
Cheapest offer on par with Target. Some solid deals on PS4/XBO games as well.
OzGameshop: $44
Decent price, although with OzGameshop you’re always best off getting a few games at once (if they’re not codes) to offset the delay in shipping.
EB Games: $59.95
Target: $45
Along with Big W, this will be the cheapest launch day offer.
The Gamesmen: $49.95
Standard deal.
Amazon: $53.33 (ex shipping)
Physical copy only here, so save yourself the trouble and shop local.
Xbox Live: $50
Steam: $53
Green Man Gaming: $42.66
You’ll need to be a GMG VIP member to get this price; it’s $US39.99 ($53.33) otherwise. You only have to sign up for an account to get the VIP offer, though.
Play-Asia: $53.14
Useful if you want to buy a European or US version of the game, it’s not like Yooka-Laylee is a JRPG or anything where localisation would have a major impact from one region to another.
Mighty Ape: $59.99
Not a good deal.
DVDLand: $49.95
It’s not a cheap deal, but you’re not paying over the odds either. Helps to have the option, I guess.
So that’s the cheapest copies of Yooka-Laylee around the traps. See a price that catches your eye, or will you wait until later in the year?

Switch release when
“It’s a bit too early to go into specifics with this version, but rest assured we’re working directly with Nintendo to get it out as soon as possible for our many fans and Kickstarter backers on that platform. We’re big Nintendo fans here, so it’s very exciting to be working on Nintendo Switch.”

Got my code for the kickstarter and it doesn’t work on my Australian PS4, same thing happening to others in the kickstarter comment section.
I’ve sent a tweet to them but i doubt anything will happen :/
