Xbox’s Digital Sale Is Pretty Damn Good

It’s not just retailers that are getting into the spirit of the season by throwing huge discounts on games. Xbox has gotten in on the act as well, and there are plenty of solid deals available after the jump.

The discounts will be available through the Xbox Games Store (accessible online or through the console) until early morning April 18. You can view the full list of discounts over on the Major Nelson blog, but to save you time here’s a list of the better offerings with their Australian prices. Note that you’ll need Xbox Live Gold to get the prices below.

Astroneer (Game Preview/Early Access): $18.71
Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition: $15.98
7 Days to Die: $19.98

Not a bad mix there. Gears 4 is reasonably priced, given what other retailers are selling it for right about now, and there are some good deals on older games if you haven’t picked them up. Sunset Overdrive is super good value at that price, and Just Cause 3 at $25 is a good pick too. Overcooked is a top party game, as is the third Jackbox pack, and everyone should play Wolfenstein The New Order if they haven’t already. It’ll be a nice looking game at 4K, too. And Geometry Wars 3 for under $7 is a steal.

Don’t forget to compare with retail deals, though. You should be able to get some slightly better deals on Battlefield 1 and other AAA titles. Not many stores have Quantum Break lying around, for instance, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you can get it for less than $30. Here’s our stories on the Target and Big W sales this week, so you can see for yourself.
