Chun-Li And Dante Look Weird Now, Capcom

As it is with video games, character designs evolve and change over time. Sometimes they get better, and sometimes they do this.

Fans notice! For example, one character looks so different in Resident Evil 6 that his appearance launched conspiracy theories (more here, spoilers). Now, folks are noticing that in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Chun-Li has… changed. No conspiracies, though, just facepalms.

This isn’t a first for Chun-Li, or any Street Fighter character, for that matter. But…

Chun-Li isn’t the only character who looks different in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Dante from the Devil May Cry series looks strange, too.

And by “strange”, I mean awful.

  • Chun Li looks like a duck that turned into a human but the interesting thing is how much Dante looks like his Devil May Cry 2 incarnation. Maybe this is some parallel universe where that game actually did well.

  • I assumed they were trying to make the characters look like action figures for MvC Infinite.

  • For a professional fighting game, where you know the pro scene will be pushed hard. This is a poor performance from the Developers.
