Dinosaurs are coming to Dungeons & Dragons with its upcoming adventure, Tomb of Annihilation. Slated for a September 19 release, Tomb of Annihilation will have players hacking through a jungle full of undead, dinosaurs and, yes, undead dinosaurs to find a legendary artefact that could quell a curse.
Tomb of Annihilation
D&D lead designer Mike Mearls described Tomb of Annihilation as “Indiana Jones meets zombies”. It’s set in Chult, a southern continent in the Forgotten Realms world that’s surrounded by fiery volcanoes. There, in the city of Port Nyanzaru, locals are suffering from a “death curse”. D&D explains that it’s “a wasting disease afflicting everyone who’s ever been raised from the dead. Victims grow thinner and weaker each day, slowly but steadily sliding toward the death they once denied.”
Adventure Time creator and D&D fanatic Pendleton Ward helped create Tomb of Annihilation.

D&D‘s MMORPG game, Neverwinter, will also receive a Tomb of Annihilation expansion on July 25. Here’s the trailer for that:
I’m just as excited about the prospect of exploring Chult as I am about the upcoming adventure. It’s a setting that hasn’t been touched by official D&D modules in a very, very long time. And, this time, D&D promises dinosaur racing.

i don’t play dnd but used to read the forgotten realms novels when i was young, some undead dinosaur novels sound interesting
You should give the Dragonlance novels a look. Forgotten Realms was great too, good memories.
For me dinosaurs in D&D are a bit of an immersion breaker. It just doesn’t look right.
