Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for $19. LEGO Star Wars for $19. Dishonored 2 for $23. These are just some of the bargains you can grab at EB Games now, if you move quickly.
The retailer is calling it their “biggest sale ever”, which is in keeping with just how over-the-top EB gets when it comes to discounts.
Here’s some of the better picks, although you can view the full list here.
- LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (PS3/360): $19
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4/XBO): $19
- LEGO Jurassic World/Marvel’s Avengers/Star Wars TFA (3DS): $23
- Dishonored 2 (PC): $23
- Call of Duty Infinite Warfare (PS4/XBO): $28
- Dishonored 2 (PS4/XBO): $28
- For Honor (PC): $28
- Final Fantasy 15 (PS4): $36
- Watch Dogs 2 (PS4/XBO): $36
- Titanfall 2 (PS4/XBO/PC): $36
- Mafia 3 Deluxe Edition (PS4/XBO): $36
- Bravely Second – End Layer (3DS): $36
- Overwatch Origins Edition (PC): $44
- Battlefield 1 (PS4/XBO/PC): $47
- Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter (PS4): $47
- Yooka-Laylee (PS4): $47
- Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Explorer’s Edition (PS4): $47
- Fire Emblem Fates Birthright/Conquest (3DS): $47
- Just Dance 2017 (Switch): $47
Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex are the obvious picks of the bunch; you’re almost down to a dollar-an-hour at tha t price. Watch Dogs 2 is pretty good value for $36 though, as is FF15 with the amount of hours you can put into it. BF1 on PC isn’t a bad pick either – the game still has a good community on PC.
And by the way, you can also get Mass Effect: Andromeda for $47. But maybe wait until that becomes a little cheaper.

Not bad. Still hesitant to give them my money.
Wonder how many of these are repackaged trade in games labelled as new?
The ACCC really needs to look into this shit. JB do it too.
Is there any evidence that they actually do this?
Keep in mind that a game returned under the 7 day refund policy is not a trade in. This is the same way that if you buy clothes at a store that has a changing room or offers an exchange policy, it is possible that someone else has worn your new clothes for a short period.
What you can expect though is that (a) the product is undamaged, and (b) any single-use product keys are still valid. If either of those are false, it is up to EB to make things right under the Australian Consumer Law.
Games that are returned via the 7 day policy are second hand.
If you return an item, the original sale is cancelled. Why shouldn’t the merchant sell it as new (assuming it is in original condition with everything intact)?
Taking the clothing example into account: if you take a shirt back to the store you bought it to exchange for a different size, what do you think the store is going to do with that shirt? Do you think they are going to sell it to someone else as new, or send it to an op shop?
There’s no such thing as second-hand digital data
It’s literally indistinguishable.
But there is such a thing as second hand DVDs.
Absolutely. But the DVD itself is perhaps 50 cents of the total cost. Almost the entire cost of a DVD is for the content which it holds.
So I guess you can subtract the cost of a second-hand DVD from the price if you like. Won’t be saving much though.
How did Infinite Warfare get cheaper than Ghosts and Black Ops 3?
Because people only want the legacy edition that comes with the MW remaster. if you buy COD:IW standalone then was MWR later, your only option is to buy IW again. pretty much the reason I’m yet to buy IW, despite thinking $28 is decent for what is probably a fun campaign.
We have different definitions for “bugger all” 😛
Dishonored 2 was already on sale for that price in their current sale. Picked it up myself as it comes with Dishonored: Definitive Edition included in the box.
Thanks for that, I hadn’t noticed that the Definitive Edition was included with Dishonored 2 Limited Edition. Bought!
Picked up a whole swag of LEGO Dimensions stuff for about $12 a pop today … I couldn’t even buy normal LEGO at that ratio. Have made serious strides in my collection this sale.
My local EB is having a buy 1 get 3 Skylanders deal. I can pay $9 for 3 skylanders – awesome. Even if you don’t play the game they are a great collectable.
Picked up FF15 for $36 at EB a few days ago. Saw Uncharted 4 for the same price.
Fyi, Big W have Dragon Quest Heroes 2 for $39 currently
And Deus Ex is also $19 on PC, which makes it around the same price as Steam, buuuut if you pay via PayPal you’ll probably pay more like $21 on Steam.
They also have Stick of Truth for $9 on PC, it’s $9 USD on Steam. So that’s a pretty good deal. Shame they don’t have Just Cause 3 on PC though.
Picked up some decently priced Vita games for $15-23 including Rayman Legends, Resistance Burning Skies (I hear it’s mediocre at best but hey, cheap!) and Star Wars The Force Awakens (Lego).
Also Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII because I don’t know.
Picked up Duse Ex which is good always wanted to play but never got around to it.
I also noticed that Dishonoured 2 was marked up more than advertised at my local for PS4, more like $35 not $28
Anyway is mass effect that bad that it’s not worth $47, damn I wanted to play it
Don’t bother answering the mass effect question. Just realised the link went to an article explaining my question.
