Here’s A Cross Between A FPS, Rogue-Like And Base-Builder

There’s an awful lot going on in Genesis Alpha One, a game described as a combination of a first-person shooter, base-builder, roguelike, with survival elements.

Being developed by Radiation Blue and published by Team17, Genesis gives players command of a Genesis starship that they have to maintain by constructing various modules for greenhouses, crew quarters, workshops, hangars and clone labs.

According to the official website, the game will feature a “huge, randomised galaxy” with the player having to battle alien infestations over the course of the game. Those aliens can then be harvested for DNA that can be gene-spliced with your crew of clones, essentially functioning as an upgrade mechanic.

Genesis Alpha One is coming out on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One. No release date has been announced.
