The Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen guy is doing puzzles to mark the upcoming release of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy. This particular one seems kind of tricky!
Can you figure it out?
The iOS and Android versions of Layton’s Mystery Journey will be released worldwide on July 20. It will hit the 3DS this fall.

Woah! I didn’t even realise that the game was releasing on smartphones first. That’s a tad strange…
Apple starts word with a T
Pineapple reverses the word.
So:
rats + apple = trats
trats + pineapple = start
Answer: Start
Just an FYI, to check the answer is correct you need to go to the website listed at the end of the video, and for us at least, it was in the second puzzle that only shows up after you do the first one there. The website is weird though. It’s like a mobile app in your browser. But the “live” puzzles just seem to link to Japanese websites that are all in Japanese. And there are apparently 50 puzzles you can complete online, but they are only releasing them every few days. You can log in with your Google account to save progress. But I don’t have that kind of patience to check back every few days.
START, right ?
