Open world zombie survival game State of Decay 2 is coming to Xbox One next year, Microsoft announced today. It will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title compatible with Windows 10.
Here’s the trailer:
18 months after the zombie apocalypse, the military abandons a refugee camp in small-town America. Those left behind must band together to survive the fall of civilisation and the rise of the undead. In State of Decay 2, it’s up to you to gather survivors, build a community, and redefine what it means to survive.

Literally all it needed was to be SoD1 with coop and I was gonna be all over it. Anything else is just gravy.
This.
Finished the first game last week. I’ve got no belief that the developers can deliver on a good game. There was so much that was undercooked, and the entire last half was a depressing trudge through sparsity.
So… your saying that NO developer can improve on a game? Ever? So they shouldnt ever bother making a second game if the last one wasnt good, because they cant do anything better or improve anything?
What a very negative outlook. A lot of people are excited to see what the devs can achieve this time around – maybe you shouldnt judge it until it actually launches.
Nope, I’m saying that State of Decay did not resonate with me and I don’t believe the developers would be capable of making a game that could.
That statement should have no bearing on another person’s enjoyment of the game; it could be their favourite game and that would be cool.
I’m happy as long as they don’t pull that “Year One Survival Edition” crap again.
