Sandusky, Ohio may not be the first location that leaps to mind when it comes to world-beating cosplay, but every year many of the world's best make the pilgrimage to Kalahari Resort's Colossalcon for one of the biggest cons of the year. Why Sandusky? Because the Kalahari is a resort with a tropical-themed swimming pool and some beautiful surrounding countryside, which means cosplayers and photographers can get a little crazier than usual.
Why Ohio, of all places? It's got something to do with the fact Colossalcon combines thousands of cosplayers, a swimming pool, expensive cameras, and the first days of summer in the US. And, in this year's case, some baby sloths.
