The Swords Of Ditto Gives Dungeon Crawlers A Cute Makeover

It won’t be out until next year, but if you like the idea of cute characters swinging swords at monsters that seem like they just really need a hug, The Swords of Ditto might be your thing.

Announced by Devolver Digital earlier this morning, The Swords of Ditto is a cartoonish top-down RPG that seems to blend co-op action with elements of permadeath, ala Rogue Legacy. It’s described as a “compact action RPG”, with the Steam page clarifying that the game will support two players in local co-op.

“Each adventure becomes its own legend, both distinct from those that came before it and part of a heroic legacy that bind together. The deeds, successes, and failures of each hero’s adventure have implications for those that follow including the ability to find weapons and recover loot from history’s fallen heroes,” the description adds.

Sounds like a cuter Rogue Legacy with co-op, then. The Swords of Ditto will launch on PC and consoles sometime next year.
