Titled Symphony of the Goddesses, the Sydney Opera House will join Perth and Melbourne in hosting a concert for all things Zelda.
The Perth and Melbourne shows had already been announced, with the Riverside Theatre hosting the The Legend Of Zelda: Symphony Of The Goddess on August 24 and the Hamer Hall on September 3. Sydney is getting a show to add to that list, at the Opera House on October 29.
“Led by conductor Jessica Gethin, the two-hour concert comes to life with a full orchestra and choir, and a reimagined score that draws from requested Zelda games, including The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, while still paying homage to such classics as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.”
The symphony has toured for a few years, with the latest rotation adding a movement from Skyward Sword. Tickets for the Opera House gig will go on sale through the Opera House’s website, although tickets won’t be available until August 28*. Those in town for the two Melbourne shows can pick up tickets now, starting from $86.70. Tickets are substantially cheaper for the Perth event, starting from $32.15.
Update: The original story mistakenly said tickets for the Opera House gig were only available from the day before; they’re actually available from August 28. Apologies.
