Like Ghost in the Shell, I'm willing to take temporary breaks on Fine Art to celebrate the work that went into good-looking movies, instead of just good-looking games. And so here we are, with the art of Luc Besson's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
First up is Ben Mauro, an artist we've featured a number of times here on Fine Art before, who has spent the last two years working with Besson as art director on the project, and below you'll find a showcase of his contributions to the film's look. You can see more of Ben's work at his personal site.
Also featured is the art of Marc Simonetti, a freelance artist who also worked on the film. You can see more of Marc's art here.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you're in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you'd like to share, drop us a line!
