Wet Hot American Summer Is Getting Its Own Comic Book

Wet Hot American Summer Is Getting Its Own Comic Book

It’s an excellent time to be a fan of cult comedy favourite Wet Hot American Summer. Sequel series Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later just hit Netflix — home of 2015 prequel series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp — and now there’s an original graphic novel on the way from Boom Studios.

So far, the only thing we know about the comic is that it will be set between David Wain’s 2001 film and the brand-new sequel, and will follow the adventures of Camp Firewood’s variously raunchy, weird, awkward and hilarious characters. As you can see from the cover art by Joe Quinones, just about everyone from the movie — which has a gleefully excellent time parodying 1980s summer-camp movies — will make an appearance… yep, even Skylab and the talking can of vegetables.

The full creative team, as well as more story info, will be announced at a later date. Look for the Wet Hot American Summer to hit shelves in June 2018.
