Animaga is a smaller convention in Melbourne that focuses on anime, manga and games -- hence the name. If you're not deep in the anime scene, or live outside of Melbourne then it may have just slipped under your radar. But where there's a convention, there's cosplayers, and Melbourne brought its A-game for Animaga.

Because it's a smaller event, Animaga is held in the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building, a heritage exhibition pavilion built in 1880. While most fans were probably more occupied with the merch than the surroundings, the building makes a fantastic backdrop for some really stunning cosplay photos.

Animaga is known for bringing big name cosplayers, mostly from Asia's most cosplay-crazy countries -- this year they brought down Japanese cosplayer Reika, and Taiwanese HIKO.
