When Atlus revealed Shin Megami Tensei V earlier this week, the game’s debut trailer had a Nintendo Switch logo. We’ve known this since it was teased earlier this year. In a recent Weekly Famitsu interview, producer Kazuyuki Yamai discussed why the game is a Switch title.
One reason is that the Switch is “charming.”

The game was teased this past January.”]
When asked why the Switch was selected, Yamai replied, “I once realised once again as development was progressing that the Nintendo Switch is a compact piece of hardware on which you can play HD quality games, easily carry around, and that it truly a charming console.”

Yamai said the kind of “game life” he’d like fans to enjoy is sitting in front of the TV or lounge around in bed as they play. That flexibility, obviously, is possible on the Switch. And those are the reasons he gave.

Nooooo! I was hoping for a DS port.
But that does not mean that he has to make the game a Swtich exclusive.
Get hype!
Maybe it’s also because a majority of the main series SMT games have been on Nintendo consoles.
