This Friday is stacked. Super Mario Odyssey graces the Switch, while Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein II grace the, uh, everything (except the Switch). Seeing as we’ve already found the cheapest copies of the former two – here’s where you can find the cheapest copies of Wolfestein II: The New Colossus.
Time to punch some Nazis.
The New Order was a game that I was surprised by – I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. Now, it’s 2017, and the political climate is super … concerning. It’s going to be interesting to see how The New Colossus is received.
Ozgameshop
PC: $59.99 XBOX/PS4: $69.99
Free delivery if you use the code SH1P or $1.99 for express. If you’re not overly concerned about playing on day one (and hey, there are a few other big releases on October 27, right?) then this is the best option.
Big W
XBOX/PS4: $79
Big W have positioned themselves as one of the best places to go to buy games on day one, if you look purely at pricing. Not sure how well they go with stock.
JB Hi-Fi
PC: $69, XBOX/PS4: $79
Great price, and metallurgy-loving-bibliophiles will love this version because comes with a ‘steelbook cover’.
Harvey Norman
PC: $69, XBOX/PS4: $79
Gerry is as Gerry does and Gerry does know that everyone else is selling at this price so worth heading in if a HN is close.
Mighty Ape
PC: $59.99, XBOX/PS4: $75
Have to tack on the added cost of shipping which pushes this up a little more, especially if you’re looking at the console version. But that PC price is great!
The Gamesmen
PC/XBOX/PS4: $79
Absolutely respectable, but the PC price is a little higher than elsewhere.
Play-Asia
XBOX/PS4: $78.56
US, Europe and Asian versions of the game are all available from Play-Asia. Generally longer wait time on delivery, but decent price.
Amazon
PC/XBOX/PS4: $87.21
Hard pass.
EB Games
PC: $89.95, XBOX/PS4: $99.95
Tell you what – EB will have the stock but you want to be price matching here. EB’s standard edition comes with Episode Zero of The Freedom Chronicles, a piece of DLC.
EB also have exclusive access to the Collector’s Edition which comes in at $139.95, which includes the same piece of DLC plus an action figure of Wolfenstein hero “Terror-Billy” BJ Blazkowicz.
Steam
$76
Factoring in the currency conversion, you can grab it at release on steam for ~$76 right now.
Digital Download
$99.95
Both the Playstation Store and the Microsoft Store have the game listed at $99.95. Doesn’t seem like a worthwhile option – but it’s the one you’re going to have to go with if you’re embracing the digital era.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches digitally for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 and is in stores this Friday, October 27. A Switch version looks to be released at some point in the future. Jackson also believes Wolfenstein was the real monster, all along.
