Somewhat OT but was anyone having problems with crunchyroll yesterday? It kept giving me errors and I just gave up for the day.
Yea I’ve been having issues off an on for the last few days. Server error then boots me out of the app on ps4/xbox
Yeah had this issue, was wanting to finish off the last couple eps of Mobile Suit GUNDAM Iron Blooded Orphans.
BBB is back, yay. The cocktail shorts are pretty funny.
None of these really appeal to me D=
Same.. was stoked to have 2 (if short) isekai anime last season… and none for this set… welp no anime for the next few months then… back to tokusatsu!
I have eclectic tastes and I get that, but it’s disappointing
I’ve been really enjoying this season so far actually, what kind of things do you usually like Scree?
And @rock_m give Ancient Magus Bride a shot, I got a bit of an isekai by way of Harry Potter vibe off the first episode and I’m really keen to see more.
I like most things, actually. The one thing I am watching Is Elegant Apartment life. I watched Sakura quest last season, and Made in abyss
I loved the Original Kino’s Journey but that trailer was awful. And it looked like 95% of the anime on this list cause all the characters look the same. That Whale one has nice background art though might give it a chance if I hear its being received well.
Na same, lot of Idol, slice of life and school like normal. Will just watch the main grind of One Piece and DBZ.

Kino’s Journey is definitely not samey, unless you mean it’s very similar to the older adaptation, in which case yeah, let’s hope it turns out least that good. 🙂 Unfortunately the original series’ director died in 2013 so this is with a new staff.
It’s a series about the human condition, basically. Kino travels to different places and stays there for three days, and in each place there’s some kind of interesting philosophical thing, like a town where everyone can read each other’s thoughts so they all hide from each other, or a town where murder is not illegal, and so on. Basically the overriding principle throughout is the idea that imperfection and ugliness is what makes the world beautiful.
Also Kino has a talking motorcycle.
See, the description only said “travel”. there’s another one with two girls travelling via motorcycle.
These one-sentence ‘summaries’ are generally completely terrible. Some stuff can be thin-sliced like that but it’s super reductive. Describing Kino’s Journey that way is like summarizing Evangelion as “Reluctant boy is forced to pilot a giant robot.”
Also the Kino’s Journey summary actually contains a minor spoiler.

Loved Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen) with it’s unique gung ho kinda vibe not unlike Trigun (same creator) & best ending credits. Heard of Kino, but yet to see it. The one here that screams potential is Inuyashiki. There’s a Death Note dynamic to it with the contrasting responsible old guy & irresponsible youth given powers and how they use them.

More like October 8 2018, right? Goddamn Netflix. This is easily one of the most interesting shows of the season and like usual, they’re not going to be streaming it until it’s finished and people have forgotten it. Assholes.
