Holy Crap, The First Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Is Here

The first trailer for the biggest, most anticipated Marvel movie ever is finally here.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and starring basically everyone, here's the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War.

Four months ago, Marvel showed fans at the D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con the first footage from this highly anticipated film, but didn't release the footage online. It drove people crazy, but now, finally, we have this trailer.

Infinity War is the beginning of the end for the first major story arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will show the mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin), who first appeared in 2012's The Avengers, attempting to complete the Infinity Gauntlet in order to take over the galaxy. Fighting back will be every Marvel hero we've seen so far, starting in 2008's Iron Man and going all the way up through the yet-to-be-released Black Panther.

Avengers: Infinity War opens 25 April 2018.

If you replace Thanos with Steppenwolf and the Avengers with Justice League. This is what Justice League should have been.

Yes, absolutely. Warner should have spent 10 years slowly creating a universe introducing each character in their own right, while re-defining over that time what a good super hero movie can be. Taking risk with directors and design that differs from the source material to ensure a cohesive story arc.
In the end I agree wholeheartedly that they needed to ensure the longevity of their investment by drafting and pacing out the arc that has lead us here. Delivering fan service but not being dictated by it, ensuring that actors remain in roles, and adjusting the genre, mood, and style of each film as the audience got bored of the dark orange dystopia.
They would have benefited by setting themselves apart and creating their own universe, not following blindly into someone else's, taking the risk, instead of using box office figures and statics as a way to direct decisions.

It's set on Earth... I was hoping it'd be off planet. We've already seen aliens invade Earth in the first film.
    I'm a little disappointed.

Why would it be off planet? Thanos is coming to get all the Infinity stones........ Most of them are on earth....

Thanos is on a similar level of cosmic destruction as Galactus, so makes sense to maybe have space involved. The above comment is actually a decent one.
It will have some space as Thor is to drop in on the Guardians so i assume that there will be a story with them separate from the other Avengers. Also this is a 2 part story, so we could see some space fairing Iron man suit in the follow up, if not this one.

See I'd say Darkseid is the DC Thanos equivalent and the Antimonitor is their Galactus.

was trying to keep it within marvel universe, but you're correct.

That really doesn't look like Chris Pratt at the end.

Lol, it looks like Chris Pratt with a 12 year olds hair!

Is there a lore reason why Black Widow is Blonde? Or did Scarlet Johansen just not want to dye it anymore?

It will probably be a throwaway joke in the movie. But maybe she dyed it for a mission?

After posting, I found that SJ didn't want to dye it anymore, but they couldn't get rid of her, obviously, so they just let her use her natural color. Like you said, I'm sure they'll ret-con it in.

Thanos doesn't look very good, it really just looks like brolin painted

Welcome to the HD future ...

Reminds me of when Lord of the Rings first came out on Blu-Ray and you could see the webbing used on the actors’ heads for their wigs. :)

Looks better with the head gear on though. Cant give away everything in the trailer.
