I love Photo Mode and how it has increasingly become a fixture in games. PAX Australia even had a Horizon Zero Dawn Photo Mode exhibition this year.

I dig it so much that I thought - why not run our own in-game photography contest and give away a brand new Huawei Mate 10 as the prize?

Yes? Yes.

Brought to you by the Huawei Mate 10 and its AI -assisted Leica Dual-Lens Camera, featuring object recognition and the ability to automatically adjust camera setting to produce vibrant, sharp and perfectly composed photographs, even in low light.

To win, all you need to do is take a stunning in-game shot in Photo Mode, upload it (eg - Imgur) and link to it in a comment below.

If your game of choice doesn't have a dedicated photo mode - a screenshot is fine too. As are snaps from cut scenes. We're just here for the gorgeous shots and aren't going to split hairs. You just need to have taken the shot. We'll be checking.

Here are some lovely examples from Assassin's Creed Origins by Jess Hodgson:

The winner will receive a Huawei Mate 10. The competition is restricted to Australian residents only and make sure you use a valid email address in your Kotaku profile so we can contact you if you win.

The competition is limited to one entry per person and one prize per winner. You can read the rest of the terms and conditions here.

The competition will end on Wednesday December 6 at 12pm and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards. Good luck and may the best snap win!

I only found out how to take photos in assassins creed origins late last night, but this are my favourite so far.

Edit: Had to upload better versions, the ones from twitter were all compressed to hell

Picking out just one is difficult, but I guess I'll go with this one. I know there's a line across it, it wasn't there in-game but appeared in the shot for some reason.

    (Bonuses: Sassy Aya)

If you've taken that where I think you've taken that, the line is a zip line from near the synchronise point overlooking the town.

Could be. All I remember is it wasn't visible at the time when I took the shot, but ended up in the result.

I was tossing up between quite a few, but kept coming back to this one (https://ibb.co/jLL9Xm). I think it sums up For Honor at its best - brutal, beautiful and defiant.

Agh, so good. I'm guessing you used the Vignette tool to black out anything past the cell? Nice work anyway

Cheers! And yeah used a heavy amount of vignette to isolate the cell, bumped the contrast right up to give the subject plenty of pop against the white light and increased shadows a touch so the darker parts of the environment weren't sucked into a void.

    Hey all,

Please remember to keep it to one single shot per entry (and only one entry per person) so we don't have to disqualify anyone :)

yeah, I'm wondering how everyone missed the one entry per person in bold text.
