There are two major franchises that every ’90s kid desperately wished were real: Pokemon and Harry Potter. Over a year after publisher Niantic tried to make Pokemon real with the augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go, they’re continuing their takeover of the nostalgia market with Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, co-developed by Warner Bros. Interactive, will use similar AR mobile tech to Pokemon Go. The press release reads, “By exploring real-world neighbourhoods and cities across the globe, players will go on adventures, learn and cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters”.
They will also “team up with others to take down powerful enemies.”
There isn’t much more information yet. But suffice it to say that, even though I didn’t need a reason to bully Hufflepuff fans before, now, I have one.

I hope they make it at Harry Potter version of Ingress. Actually being a team matters, bit more tactical etc.
It’s Niantic making an augmented reality Harry Potter game…no doubt it will be modeled after Ingress/Pokemon Go.
Yes. Hopefully more Ingress than PoGo.
Also, what happened to Ingress 2.0 that was supposed to be happening towards the end of this year? Is this it???
Fuckyeah, gonna get some exercise!
