The Humble Care Package Is Pretty Solid

Humble is currently offering a package with 27 games to raise funds for emergency relief. Unsurprisingly, most of the games are real good.

Designed to generate funds for charities offering emergency aid following massive earthquakes around the world, Humble’s Care Package has been setup to donate 100% of all payments equally across Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children, GlobalGiving, the American Red Cross and Direct Relief.

It’s one of the pricier packages, weighing in at just under $40 after currency conversions. But you’re getting a solid deal in return, with 27 separate games including solid indies like Stardew Valley, Pony Island, Grey Goo, Kholat and Shadowrun Returns. There’s a couple of turds in there as well (hello Mighty No. 9), but on the whole it’s a pretty good bundle.

Here’s the full list of what you’ll get for your $40:

  • Darkest Dungeon
  • Starbound
  • Stardew Valley
  • Minecraft: Story Mode
  • Move or Die
  • Duck Game
  • Her Story
  • She Remembered Caterpillars
  • Stronghold Legends
  • DreadOut
  • Pony Island
  • Mighty No. 9
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
  • Arma: Gold Edition
  • Grey Goo
  • Sorcerer King: Rivals
  • Shadowrun Returns
  • Kholat
  • Primal Carnage: Extinction
  • Lakeview Cabin Collection
  • The Park
  • Magicka
  • Machinarium Collector’s Edition
  • Jump Stars
  • Fearless Fantasy
  • No Time To Explain Remastered
  • Psychnoauts

[clear]

You’ll get individual Steam keys for every game, so you can give some away to friends if you get a few spare games you don’t want. Humble did note that there is “limited availability” on some of the games, such as Darkest Dungeon and Move or Die, although it didn’t outline if those games would be replaced once stock ran out.

Either way, it’s a good gaming charity drive. Humble’s also matching any contributions up to $US300,000, a goal that’s already been surpassed, which is good to see. The bundle’s available until early next Wednesday morning, so you’ve got some time if you want to wait.
