Once you get over the whole “harbinger of death” thing, The Sims‘s the Grim Reaper is kinda hot.
Over on the r/Sims subreddit, the simmer Corveaux said she was able to add the Grim Reaper to her family and remove his hood. The screencap she posted was of a young adult sim who was pretty cute, with pouty lips and cheekbones you could cut yourself on. This was surprising to me, because the Grim Reaper in The Sims 3 looked like a horrifying black hole.

As a journalist, I decided to investigate this for myself. So, I rolled a few sims, killed one of them, and added the Reaper to my family. After figuring out how to remove his hood – it’s actually his hair, and not a hat – I saw this adorable guy for myself.
I then gave him some hair and some non-reaper-y clothing. He cleans up pretty good I think. You wouldn’t even know that moments before this picture was taken he ushered a young woman into the afterlife.

Serious question: What happens if someone dies now? Does a different reaper show up? Or does this dude run off in his toggled brown jacket and rolled-up jeans to usher the dead into the afterlife?
