Target's Flogging Games Off For Christmas As Well

If the thought of Shadow of War and Assassin's Creed: Origins for under $50 sounds like a good tonic for the holidays, Target is doing some good deals right now.

The discounts are available online and in-store, but obviously limited to available stock. There's plenty of big drawcards: you can take a punt on Destiny 2 for $35, Shadow of War is available for $45, Ghost Recon Wildlands is going for $25 on consoles, and there's Prey for $29.

Here's a smattering of what's on offer:

PS4 1TB w/Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted Lost Legacy: $449
Xbox One S 500GB Bundle w/Minecraft Explorers Pack, Minecraft Story Mode, Minecraft: $269

Battlefront 2 (PS4/XBO): $39
Mass Effect Andromeda (PS4/XBO): $35
Destiny 2 (PS4/XBO): $35
Ghost Recon Wildlands (PS4/XBO): $25
Watch Dogs 2 (PS4/XBO): $25
Assassin's Creed Origins (PS4/XBO): $45
Tekken 7 (PS4/XBO): $59
Just Dance 2018 (XBO): $29
Shadow of War (PS4/XBO): $45
Need for Speed Payback (PS4/XBO): $39
Forza Motorsport 7 (XBO): $59
Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy (PS4): $49
FIFA 18 (PS4/XBO): $39

Good mix there. Origins at $45 is a good buy, and $50 isn't much to spend to get some co-op Wildlands action going between you and a friend.

I dont know why I did it, but I bought BF2 for $39 after seeing the new movie.

And wow... I dont even care about the loot box stuff but the game fucking sucks lol.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Worse than the last BF game?

Yeah, I quite liked Battlefront 2015. I dunno what it is but 2 feels absolutely horrible. Could be that I haven't played a shooter on console for a while but damn, not impressed. Hitting people with a lightsaber feels like whacking someone with a pool noodle.

I did almost the same thing. The game was not on my radar at all, and then all the outrage somehow made me go and pick it up on launch day. Then I was surprised when it was terrible.....

Might drop it off to EB games tonight for a measly $5.

It could be $2 and I still would give EA that satisfaction of buying it. Just say no to loot boxes.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Alex might be a fan of Ghost Recon Wildlands...

Why is Crash Bandicoot still 50 bucks?

Good question. I have been eagerly waiting for that to hit the $20 mark. No bueno.

People must still be buying it. Which is kind of amazing.

I've been trying to pick up Dying Light with the expansion for a reasonable price, but it's usually about $60. I have no idea why some games just never drop in price. I think i saw it for $34 the other day, but I have so many games to play right now.

      It's a mistake, I just checked their website and it's $29.99.

Crash is still $50 because it’s Sony’s major first party title for younger gamers for Christmas, it’ll drop sharply after the gift buying season.

Yeah, They list all those games at that price.

But if most stores rarely have even one or two of the games in stock because they rarely stock most games anymore.

For these types of sales I order online and then choose store pickup, I've never had a problem doing this at Target yet. You may have to wait a few days if it's not at the closest store to you, but I've always been lucky.

I dont know if its just the local targets/ Kmart near me but they rarely stock any video games.

K-Mart got out of the video game business years ago, and Target and Big-W have definitely been stocking less as well. I think a lot of people get EB to price match rather than going to the stores that offer the best prices, which is a shame because I don't think there'll be much to price match to in a few years. JB HiFi, maybe.

Yeah sweet and Target USA can apparently ship it to me before Christmas! Amazing!!!
