Scribblenauts Gets A Multiplayer Spin-Off

There’s a new Scribblenauts coming out very soon – and it’s got multiplayer.

Billed as a card-based party game for up to four players, Scribblenauts Showdown was announced this morning for the Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Due out on March 6, it’ll feature more than 25 minigames including the original Scribblenauts style of play. The main mode, titled Showdown, will use a mix of minigames. There’s a Sandbox mode, which is more akin to the original Scribblenauts games, and a versus mode for one or two players.

Development is being reportedly handled by Shiver Entertainment, rather than the original developers 5th Cell. The studio laid off 45 employees in early 2016, after Warner Bros cancelled a mobile Scribblenauts game.
