Good Morning, Here’s A Gorgeous Aussie Game About Deer

Due out early next year on PC and consoles, Way to the Woods is an adventure game starring a doe and her fawn.

The game is the brainchild of Aussie teenager Anthony Tan. The 18-year-old has been running an art blog on Tumblr, where early pics of Way to the Woods first gained traction, and he’s worked as a 3D artist on Job Simulator and the Rick and Morty VR game.

But his pet project – which you can see more art of through another Tumblr page – is Way to the Woods. Using his talents, it’s a hand-drawn adventure starring a doe and her fawn as they try to get back to the forest, encountering other animals and a city along the way.

A longer trailer for Tan’s game, which is due out next year and inspired by Studio Ghibli classics like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, was uploaded earlier this morning. You can check it out below.
