Play Sea Of Thieves With Captain Hellfire And He’ll Sing You A Shanty

Captain Hellfire and the Wretched Brethren is a great name for a band. It’s so rare to say that about a real band.

This weekend they’ll be singing shanties about people’s adventures in Sea of Thieves. Your adventures.

To celebrate the launch of Sea of Thieves, Microsoft is holding a ‘Sing Us A Shanty’ event this weekend.

Enlist with your friends, go adventuring with Captain Hellfire and the Wretched Brethren and the band with regale you with a shanty about the time you spent together.

It’s a very literal interpretation of Rare’s ambition for players to create stories through Sea of Thieves.

It didn’t grab me at all. But, after taking on voyage after voyage – alone or with friends and strangers – I’ve now spent so many hours sailing on the sea that, when I close my eyes, I can still hear the water crashing.

This is how I fell in love with Sea of Thieves.”]
