All The Australian Times For E3 2018

The annual ritual is almost upon us: waking up at ungodly hours, rugging up in a blanket and slamming several coffees until the hype kicks in. Welcome to E3 2018.

As has been the case for the last few years, EA will kick off proceedings at 0400 AEST early Sunday morning (June 10). Then we all get a nice respite before the first of two mammoth days.

Your Monday morning schedule: Microsoft at 0600 AEST, followed by Bethesda just before lunch time and the silly shenanignans (probably) of Devolver Digital at 1300 AEST. Tuesday's even more brutal though: an early start for Square Enix, followed by Ubisoft a few hours after, the PC Gaming Show (and the two will probably crossover) before Sony just in time for brunch.

What are you looking forward to most from the conferences this year?

I may be missing something - but UTC+8 (Perth time) is on that list. Given the very early morning times for most of those pressers, I'll probably just read the recap here the next day :P.

      How interesting.

Hey Alex. Perth is in the +8 band on that table. Early mornings ahoy.

Man i really do love the annual tradition of staying up super late at night and streaming the conferences live. I usually watch the Microsoft and Nintendo ones live, but am at work for the Sony one - it looks like Msoft's might be too late for me this year tho :(. 4am Perth time I guess :/. Unlesssssss one gets up early instead?? HMMM

I'VE FIXED IT PERTH IS THERE I'M SORRY

(and yeah it is super early mornings; poor Amanda caught glandular fever, so I'm taking over there for the forseeable future)

Damn... She'll be out for awhile then. Good luck.

2am Melbourne time for the Nintendo presentation. Sadface.

Square and Nintendo being at Midnight works for me, Sucks that Sony and Bethesda are during work, but hopefully i can sneakily listen to them at my desk.

Urgh. 3am for Square Enix. THERE BETTER BE A KH3 RELEASE DATE SQUARE ENIX.

What the hell is a "Perth"?

      It's a hair care product, isn't it?

Well I could be wrong, but I do believe that “Perth” was an old, old wooden ship - used during the civil war era

What can you say about Perth? It sort of sounds like someone being sick...... PERRRFFFF!

Can they just post all the trailers and info now for me please?

No way am I getting up @ 4am for EA. The others? Yeah, ok.

EA burnt all their bridges a long time ago anyway. I'm still waiting for them to go out of business so the Wing Commander license might go to a company that will use it.

I love Wing Commander and would love a new one, I just hope Chris Roberts is kept a long way away from it unless he is under the control of a publisher, he has become a prime example of why some people need oversight.

Alex Walker I won't be watching the Nintendo E3 presentation at 2:00am next month I'll be asleep. But I hope Nintendo uploads their E3 Presentation video on YouTube because I will be watching the Nintendo E3 presentation on the Internet when I wake up next morning can't wait for Super Smash Bros arriving on the Nintendo Switch soon.

What I am hoping for at E3 next month is an official announcement from Activision and Toys for Bob on bringing Spyro Reignited Trilogy to the Nintendo Switch and PC which Kotaku Editor Laura Kate Dale said on Twitter she still thinks Spyro the Dragon should be on Nintendo Switch and PC. Because Activision have already announced that Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy will be coming out on June 29 for the Nintendo Switch PC and Xbox One which comes out at the end of next month instead of the originally confirmed release date July 10.

And I will be watching the Ubisoft E3 press conference after 6:00am instead of watching the press conference at 6:00am because I'm hoping to hear more details about Donkey Kong arriving in Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle as a DLC and hopefully more details on Starlink Battle for Atlas because we've been waiting to hear back from Ubisoft for months now and they haven't returned our comments but that's all about to change at E3 next month.

So let's recap I will not be watching the Nintendo E3 presentation at 2:00am next month because I will be asleep in bed but I will watch the Nintendo E3 presentation on the Internet the next morning because I can't wait for Super Smash Bros to come out on the Nintendo Switch soon. During E3 next month I'm hoping Activision and Toys for Bob will give us an official announcement and hopefully bring Spyro Reignited Trilogy to the Nintendo Switch and PC.

Activision have already announced that Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy will be coming out on June 29 for Nintendo Switch PC and Xbox One which is the end of next month that's 12 months after Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy came out on the PS4 because it was a PS4 timed exclusive for a year. Finally I will be watching the Ubisoft press conference after 6:00am to hear more details about Donkey Kong arriving as a DLC for Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle and hopefully more details on Starlink Battle for Atlas.

It's the most exciting thing to happen in the world of gaming Alex and you know what I mean.

FYI, I had to edit your comment just to add some spaces in; makes it a bit easier on the eyes for all.

You are talking to a bot

It's such a persistent one too! I'm not sure what the goal of it is...

Now I just need to have a Tuesday at home and I'm set. Can't wait to see what Sony have planned.

I'm just waiting for those "One year later, did Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo/etc. keep their E3 promises?" posts. Highlight of the Kotaku year.

They’re starting from today! Microsoft first.

Meh, I'll just get up at the usual time and make my way through the general gist of the conferences afterwards at my leisure. I don't really see the point of getting up at 3am or whatever to hear about things that won't be available for months / years anyway.

Warner Bros games will have a show as well. Apparently they have something Batman related to show.

I’m looking forward to seeing the games I will be playing in two years time, like Final Fantasy 7 remake (maybe). Want to see what Nintendo and Sony have in the pipeline.
