Battlefield V bring the series back to World War Two and, dear God, has playable women. EA revealed more details today at the EA Play press conference including a closer look at the game’s multiplayer. And of course, that means a battle royale mode.
The battle royale format mode will be called “Royale,” although no further details were revealed during conference. It is the first of what will probably be 100 battle royale modes announced at E3.
EA’s preview of Battlefield V also stressed a faster and more active multiplayer. Players will have the ability to dive and smash through windows and move around heavy turrets from their fixed position. That should pick up the pace of Operation. But seriously, six minutes for a battle royale announcement.

After going back to 4 since playing 1, is that really the necessary direction they should be taking? Curious as to how other people felt, but personally BF1 felt very quick and super arcade-y.
Also, a free-for-all royale game in a series built around teamwork and/or military vehicle and advanced equipment? Why does it sound like an incredibly, incredibly poor idea.
Because Bandwagon! They might miss it as it trundles by!!!
Got to get kids to buy them V Bucks.
If the Royale mode is based on squad team play than it should be good, will also steal players from pubg
I dont get why Battlefield has become so arcadey. Battlefront should be the arcadey shooter and i was hoping Battlefield would be a return to form but i guess ea dont feel the same way.
I played BF2 last year with some mates, then we played BF1.
It was, least to say, a disgusting experience for us. BF2 is a sublime experience, with brilliant maps, great team controls etc. We had a lan (remember those?) with around a dozen people there. Then a few of us who had it, jumped onto BF1. It was the complete opposite experience. While not BAD as per se, it really did feel like a step down in quality, especially the shooting :\ Like you said, super, super arcadey.
I just want a remake of 1942…
I’d be perfectly fine with a remake of 1942, with updated physics, graphics, audio and whatnot but leave the controls, weapons, gameplay etc. That’d be sweet. 1942 with BFV’s engine? Holy crap.
Because they want to ship more units than they would releasing a grognard sim.
Backstage at the PUBG booth at E3 are a team of lawyers ready to run out and serve papers.
As someone that didn’t enjoy BF1 due to the shallow as a puddle mechanics and team play. I think I am going to sit this one out. All the videos I saw seem to exemplify my issues with BF1 with the only addition that seems like a good idea being partly rebuilding structures and defensive points.
