Shadowrun Returns Is Too Good To Be Free, But It Is (For Another Day)

Harebrained’s revival of Shadowrun in Shadowrun Returns is still one of the best early games to come out of the Kickstarter heyday. It’s since been ported to every platform under the sun, but if you haven’t played it yet, you can do so now for free.

Humble Bundle are offering the turn-based cyberpunk RPG for the sweet deal of bugger all until early Sunday morning Australian time. It’s too good an offer to pass up for an RPG that’s even more replayable now, thanks to the range of mods and custom campaigns that hve been released over the years.

While it’s true that Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Harebrained’s follow-up to Shadowrun Returns, is a better take on the pen-and-paper RPG, Returns is still well worth the 12 to 15 hours. It’ll also play great on a Surface Pro or a 2-in-1 laptop if you have one of those, and the game also supports Mac and Linux.
