Reader Stephen Hancock was cosplaying as a Monty Python character at Gen Con earlier in the month. I’d tell you just who it was, but the name is too long for our publishing platform to fit in an opening paragraph.
So I’ll have to put it here. It’s Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern Schplenden Schlitter Crasscrenbon Fried Digger Dingle Dangle Dongle Dungle Burstein von Knacker Thrasher Apple Banger Horowitz Ticolensic Grander Knotty Spelltinkle Grandlich Grumblemeyer Spelterwasser Kurstlich Himbleeisen Bahnwagen Gutenabend bitte ein Nurnberger Bratwustle Gernspurten Mitz Weimache Luber Hundsfut Gumberaber Shonedanker Kalbsfleisch Mittler Aucher von Hautkopft of Ulm.
Made famous, of course, in this classic:
I love the idea of cosplaying at a board game trade show. I love the nametag even more.

Great cosplay. Very convincing.
Genuine question kotaku: No article about the assault that took place at Gencon?
Given who was assaulted i think its fairly obvious why there is no article on it. Because we all know how such an article would go. The comment section would be full of sperglords either using it as an opportunity to debate his political views or just be edgelords.
It happened, It shouldn’t have happened but kotaku Australia reporting on it would achieve nothing other than getting windowlickers excited in the comment section because they can spread aids.
I think it’s something that shouldve been honestly. We get overseas news and have been getting gencon news all these last two weeks or so. I guess impartiality isnt a thing these days.
I honestly don’t think they should. All it will achieve is cancer in the comments section. Other places have already covered it. It does not really need to be covered here. The whole situation is a cancerous shitstorm with both sides using it to push an agenda.
While I would like to see it be covered in a wider sense. Personally, I don’t agree with the assault even though I don’t really find the guy appealing. I’m just not down with violence in any sense, I do see your point in the sense all it would do is provoke anger here. The less we have of that the better, so I’ll concede that.
First I’ve heard of it. What’s the deal? Some guy called The Quartering, something about political motivation?
Watched some of his videos. He’s more of a centrist, not alt right from what people claim. But some dude, a whacko, decided he’d walk up to him and punch him out because of online comments. Then GenCon went radio silent on it, with nothing essentially done in terms of the guys stand in the convention apparently. Absolute stupidity. Political affiliations aside, it’s still an assault by an attendee on another attendee.
That’s pretty bad, and it’s pretty hard to shake the feeli that, we’re the political affiliations reversed, we WOULD be hearing about it.
We would have, I guarantee it.
Wow, riddled with typos. Note to self, don’t comment while in bed.
Mod hell
Just don’t say you were typing one handed o_O
