What Are You Playing This Long Weekend?

The long weekend is perfect for scything through video games. But it's equally ideal for the tabletop world, too.

I've been hankering to spend more time with Fallout: The Board Game since getting it last Christmas. Tegan's a huge Fallout fan, and we both like our board games, but games with a playtime of three to four hours are difficult to get going on a regular basis.

So this weekend I'll scythe through a bit of that, and probably knock out some Burger Up. I'm also looking forward to finally getting some time to test an Amazon Alexa-powered board game, When In Rome, so it'll be interesting to see how well that works.

What are you playing over the long weekend?

When I was unemployed I used to observe weekends as a break from looking for work. You can't let it get on top of you. Maintain a normal kind of timetable for your life and when you get a job you will transition back into the swing of things without too much difficulty. Helps with morale too :-)

Hoping against hope to get 40 warriors of Minas Tirith finished for Sunday. Don't think it's going to happen, unfortunately.

Otherwise, got my God of War platinum and have moved on to Shadow of Mordor (only just started but cool game so far).

    Dungeon Travelers 2 on Vita.

Be watching the Mighty Eagles win a flag tomorrow. Then probably sit in the couch all Sunday playing Spiderman and Fifa. No long weekend here in WA.

I'll be checking out the Soul Calibur VI stress test for most of the weekend. In between that though I'll probably be working on my Crusader in the latest Diablo 3 season.

I'm currently playing through Darksiders 1 and 2 again in preparation for when Darksiders 3 comes out. Already knocked over the first game, now over halfway through the second. Will hopefully get a good chunk of that knocked out over the weekend.

Mopping up all the collectables so far in Shadow of the Tomb Raider before heading into the final stretch...

12 hour gloomhaven binge with friends tomorrow. And maybe some diablo 3.

      That's a lot of Gloomhaven! We're playing 1 mission per fortnight :(

It was glorious. Won't be doing it again in a hurry though. We will more than likely be back to a few scenarios every week or two now. What class you playing?

Lots of Destiny - seeing if I can get a couple of people to try out Shattered Throne, otherwise we'll leave it until it comes back in three weeks. Other than that, plodding my way through Spider-man.

Valkyria Chronicles 4. And will try to finish God of War.

I finally finished God of war yesterday and it's just such a good game.

Probs some Rise of Tomb Raider, then removing it and a few more from ps4 over the next few weeks in prep for RDR2.
Got a few on there will try and finish before then, good reason to knock off a few 70% completed games

Probably jam some Ring of Elysium (PC) with a few mates.
My son wants to do some Warframe (PS4), so I'll squad up with him.
I've been slowly working my way through The Witcher 3 (PS4) finally. Don't know what took me so long to start it...

Fire Emblem Fates and Hollow Knight. Somehow these games complement each other well!

Valkyria Chronicles 4 on my new Switch, and I'm also running a game for my regular D&D group on Sunday night

Valkyria Chronicles 4, Atelier Lydie & Suelle, and Labyrinth of Refrain. Long weekend ftw.

MTG Arena, and might take the opportunity to finish Origins before Odyssey hits. The Arena interface is surprisingly non-shit, considering Wizards' track record on that, but the nature of Magic's rules still requires it to make some frustrating flow interruptions to check if someone wants to do something.

Also, a little ding or something when your opponent has been mulling over an interrupt opportunity for 20 seconds and then passes play back to you would be great. I've caught myself not noticing the 'wait' button turn into an actual button, more than once.
