Sean Bean has a knack for being killed off and killing in movies, so playing an assassin for a video game promo is rather fitting.
Bean stars here as an upcoming elusive target for HITMAN 2. If you missed the HITMAN reboot - your loss, really - elusive targets are special missions that give you a single opportunity to take out a target within a limited timeframe.
HITMAN 2 doesn't launch until November 13, with the Sean Bean mission made available from November 20. From there, you'll have 10 days to take out Mark Faba.
Bean isn't the first notable actor to make a turn in Hitman. Gary Busey won a popular vote to become the 7th elusive target in HITMAN, beating out Gary Cole. Cole still appeared in the mission, but as someone who could help the player.
The Hitman series has been one of the most well-crafted stealth games for over a decade, and given IO Interactive's troubles it's good to see the sequel inching closer to release. If you haven't played the original HITMAN, the GOTY edition is available at Green Man Gaming for $US26.99. The beginning of the game is also available for free through Steam.
Update: You can also vote on one of three weapons that will stay in HITMAN 2 permanently: a pen, earphones that double as a garotte, and a little robot. Thanks to the reader for the tip!
