The Harry Potter AR Game Is Delayed Until 2019

If you were holding out for the Harry Potter version of Pokemon Go, bad news: it won’t be out until next year.

Ingress and Pokemon GO developers Niantic announced through a new trailer – the name of the trailer, really – that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite would not be launching until 2019.

The official website doesn’t reveal any details about the game, although a press release from 2017 noted that the game would be principally similar to Niantic’s Pokemon smash hit. ““By exploring real-world neighborhoods and cities across the globe, players will go on adventures, learn and cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters,” the release read.

It was also noted that players could team up to combat powerful enemies, which sounds like a spin on Pokemon Go‘s gym mechanic.
