This Week In Games: Watercolour Assassins

A surprisingly jam packed week to kick off November. Hitman 2 is probably the biggest name out of everything this week, but there’s also a ton of intriguing indies. Case in point: the wonderfully watercolour 11-11: Memories Retold, a story about a photographer in World War 1.

There’s a ton of stuff that’s well worth a look this week. Tetris Effect drops on the PS4, there’s a new FMV game in The Shapeshifting Detective, and the chibi World of Final Fantasy gets a re-release of sorts this week. Rollcage fans will have GRIP to play with too, and there’s another Leisure Suit Larry game.

Small note: if you don’t want to pay extra for the deluxe editions, HITMAN 2 will drop next week. (Next week is also Fallout 76, Pokemon and the Black Friday madness, though.)

Here’s the headliners this week:

[clear]

Seriously, bugger me. Let’s get through the trailers and gameplay footage, starting with Leisure Suit Larry.

The Shapeshifting Detective looks pretty campy, which could be good fun with friends. Tetris Effect should be a must-have for anyone with PSVR – that game has looked fantastic from the off, and I’ve heard nothing but good things from everyone who’s touched it.

Memories Retold is interesting but I’m literally only hearing about it today for the first time. And I imagine some Left 4 Dead fans will jump on the The Walking Dead eventually, so we’ll get word quickly on how that’s shaped up.

It’s such a ridiculously packed week. The eShop has significantly more out this week than Steam, which really only highlights just how much the eShop needs a UI overhaul. It’s becoming too unwieldy to navigate the flood of games.

Anyway, what looks good to you this week?
