Will Your PC Run Battlefield 5? Here Are The Official System Requirements

Remember when Battlefield games were named after the year they were set in? If EA still followed this convention, then the upcoming Battlefield V would be set in, what, 5AD? Not sure the Lee-Enfield was that popular back then. Anyway, I digress. For PC owners, the publisher has just released system requirements for the game, so you can know ahead of time if you’ll need to upgrade or not.

While I enjoyed the tense gunfights, I’m not so sure about some of the game’s changes. From shifts in how ammo is handled to changes to weapon customisation, my fun was tempered by some scepticism about what my favourite multiplayer shooter might be like at launch.”]

This information comes via Reddit, specifically the clipboard of EA’s Global Community Manager Dan Mitre.

For your convenience, specs can be found in two forms — an image, or bullet-point sections, which you’ll find below:

No big surprises, really, though I’m starting to wonder when Windows 7 will drop off the minimum-supported list of operating systems for AAA titles. As a staunch advocate of 7 over 10, I hope it doesn’t happen for a while.

But, with long-term support from Microsoft ending at the start of 2020, and usage dropping below 30 per cent amongst gamers, it could very well disappear within the next two years.
