Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Doesn't Ship With A Manual, So A Fan Made One For Everyone To Print

Like all their games these days, Nintendo’s upcoming brawler doesn’t include a paper manual in the box.

Bad news for anyone who likes to learn from their lap on the fly, but OharaLibrarianArtur is here with the perfect workaround: they made their own, and it looks just like the real thing.

While this may seem like a lot of work to go to for something so mundane, Smash isn’t like Mario. There’a a lot to learn here, and new players (or even foggy veterans) can find it really helpful to have the manual out with them while they’re playing so they can quickly flip through the parts they need to know.

From legal notices to fonts to layout, it really does look like something Nintendo made. There’s even a “NOTES” page!

If you just want to take a look at the manual, you can check it out here, but if you actually want to print it out, you can download a much better quality version here.

Possible unpopular opinion, but not a fan of this - seems a little sloppy and rushed

Point - the "How to Smash" page, there is no alignment with headings and paragraph text - that's just really sloppy. Also I believe Gamecube should be written with a capital G. Line spacing is all over the place (example D Pad Taunt, C Stick Smash - different line spacing), and the items page - why is now all of a sudden the font so small and with so much line spacing?

I'm super keen to get a Switch, and also this game, but I just can't quite bring myself to pay the current asking price. The rumoured hardware updates might tip me over the edge. Not expecting a dramatic revision, but a reduced bezel/larger screen coupled with a Tegra X2 in mid to late 2019 would be compelling. I have some filthy long flights coming up next year.

I agree with you novasensei same here I'm getting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch as well.
Now even though the game doesn't include a manual you can purchase the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gaming manual from EB Games for just a little bit extra if you want to enhance your Ultimate gameplay fighting experience even further.
As for me though I'm keen to get my hands on those amiibos Metroid's Ridley amiibo and Star Fox's Wolf amiibo.
Not long to go now only 3 days left until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes out on the Nintendo Switch on Friday this week along with the Ridley Wolf and Inkling amiibos and the gaming manuals you can purchase for just a couple of dollars extra.
