If you’re one bite away from death, you know what you really don’t want to see coming around the corner? Thomas the Tank Engine.
Modders love putting Thomas into … well, just about everything. But there’s something truly horrifying about having an iron clad enemy you know you have to run from. Except the theme music is suddenly the cheerful “doo doo dooo, do doo dooooo” while Thomas squeezes his fat face through a doorway.
There’s now a Mr. X mod in Resident Evil 2 Remake that replaces him with Thomas The Tank Engine.

The Thomas model was made by ZombieAli and the audio modification is by the same person that did the X Gon Give it To Ya mod. (DJPop)
And yes, the DMX mod works just as well here. pic.twitter.com/5yQaPOfUd2

A guide to installing the mod, which ensures that the iconic ABC tune will play whenever Mr. X is supposed to show up, while also replacing his stomp and punch with Thomas’s whistle and steam train sounds, is on the Steam Workshop. The mod works with both the original and the remake soundtrack, although if you’re using the mod only the original will play Thomas’s theme song during Leon’s escape sequence.
The model for Thomas himself can be found here. Question is, how do we replace all the zombies in Resident Evil 2 with ABC characters? Surely Bob the Builder and Peppa Pig are a bit creepy on their days off.
