What Are You Playing This Weekend?

In anticipation of my move next weekend I will be enjoying every second of relaxing time I have.

Now you guys don't know me very well yet, I only started as the sub editor back in November, but I'm the kind of person who plays multiple games all at once. On a weeknight I will play Overwatch or Apex Legends with Alex and others. During my train rides to the city for work I have been replaying Zelda: Breath of the Wild to scratch that exploration itch I've been feeling lately.

At home I have been meaning to finish off Red Dead Redemption 2 after having to put it down to review things like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Resident Evil 2. It can be hard to pick back up a big game like that - I tried the other night and couldn't for the life of me remember what I was in the middle of.

I think this weekend I will curl up with my switch (BOTW) and play it mindlessly while watching HunterXHunter for the first time.

But what about yourselves - what are you playing this weekend?

Comments

Yeah, Breath of the Wild is pretty damn perfect. Coming in hot, almost two years late lol. I’m still shocked at how beautiful it is, and how well the storytelling interweaves with the gameplay :)

    Apex & Fallout 76 & Metro & RE5 & RE: Code Veronica X & COD4: MW

A friend just gifted me a copy of Mutant Year Zero so starting that this weekend.

Otherwise, I'll be checking out Warframe if the mainline update happens.

I really need to remember MYZ. Its a game that appeals to me, but I just keep forgetting its a thing.

Need to put it on a wishlist or something, just so I can get reminders every now and then.

    Hitman 2(Hitman 1 Storyline)
    Red Dead 2
    Farcry New Dawn

and for some reason EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 - The Shadow of New Despair
    (Humble Monthly)

Some kind of mixture of Sunless Skies, Apex Legends and, if I decide to buy it, DMCV.

Might fire up some Stellaris if I manage to get some time to myself

Unreal engine I've been playing around for around 2 years now and I can tell you it's addictive

Warframe with friends as well as Devil M- PULL MY DEVIL TRIGGER! I'll also slot some Etrian Odyssey Nexus in there... somewhere.

Might try and finish up Let's Go with my son and try out Battle for Atlas which I picked up cheap around Christmas time.

Sat morning will be working outside, finishing up a new chicken pen and maybe finish up landscaping the garden up the side of the house.

Saturday night will be watching the infamous The Room for the first time with my brother.

Red Dead 2 . Half way through Chapter 6. Getting keener for the endgame now

Another weekend of Tales of Vesperia and, somewhat ashamedly, Dragalia Lost.

I’ll be reliving the ancient past playing Diablo 1. So glad it’s available on GoG now. Was praying for Blizzard to release it for years

DMC5 and Destiny... if I can tear myself away from the new Factorio patch, that is.

Looove Factorio! What's the patch like?

Not super far in yet - playing with biters for the first time in a long time, and getting overly defensive, so progress is a little slow, especially as the only oil patch I've found thus far is nestled between two large nests that are proving very difficult to get close enough to deal any significant damage to - they seem to have filled every available space between spawners with medium worms. The new sprites are cool, but not sure about the spawning changes (...given my current predicament, I'll admit I may be a little biased :P).

As for the new changes... I'm still getting used to the new hotbars (which aren't real inventory slots any more; just shortcuts to things in your inventory). The research queue is a great addition... But most of the other changes are for mid-to-late game, which I'm currently a little blocked on by my aforementioned lack of available oil.

Just ordered Resident Evil 2 on the sweet sweet Harvey Norman sale at $55.20, so will pick that up tonight...and not play any of it! Friend over from overseas from early tomorrow morning, doesn't go home til Tuesday morning, so will be doing the dutiful tour guide thing all weekend...
