Given the success of the Hitman series and gamers’ natural creativity, it’s surprising we haven’t seen more Final Destination-style games.

Announced for the Switch overnight, Death Coming is a game about harvesting human souls as The Reaper. To do this, you have to dodge angels in real-life by setting traps for humans. It might involve dropping a pot plant on someone’s head; taking out a support railing from a construction worker, setting a stop sign to green earlier than anticipated, or whatever your creativity can come up with.

I do love how all the souls look furious, though.

Death Coming launches on the eShop April 26 Australian time.

  • Given the success of the Hitman series and gamers’ natural creativity, it’s surprising we haven’t seen more Final Destination-style games.I think you mean, “Given how fun the Deception series is…”. Although one could argue that games like Cliff Hanger on the Commodore was one of the first death-trap based games. It also looks like Party Hard might have had a bit of an influence on it too.

Either way it looks fun. Nothing like a bit of murder for fun and profit to pass the time.

  • Seems like a fun concept, but am I the only person getting burnt out on 90% of indie games having a generic pixel art style.

Seems like a fun idea like this could use a unique art style to go with it.
