The weekend is a healthy time for contemplation and friendship. And by that I mean pushing your friends by accident off a cliff because you managed to cast Confusion on yourself.

I’m talking about Dungeons & Dragons, that wonderful game where I spend three hours rolling critical 1’s because I’m just that good. My normal D&D group usually meets mid-week, but we’ve adjusted our regular session to the end of the week. Should be a little looser than before, and might end up with some wackier encounters. (We’re doing the Out of the Abyss campaign, and I’ve managed to pick up two indefinite forms of madness. I’m doing great.)

Beyond that, I’m looking forward to spending more time with Total War: Kingdoms. I’m not sure if I’m liking it more than Total Warhammer, although it’s still pretty great. Need more time to ponder that one, though.

What are you playing this weekend?

  • I hate it when the DM thinks that giving a player character extended periods of mental conditions is fun play. Taking control away from the player is not fun for that player, I can tell you. I had one experience where in any given round of the game, my character had a 50/50 chance of playing her guitar instead of acting freely. It was fun for about one combat encounter. Then next few were tedious and annoying.

Anyway, I’ll be playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on PS3, with maybe some Planeswalker Magic as well.

Still grinding away on Dungeon Travelers 2 on Vita.

    • That’s actually not been too bad – fucking about in the Underdark, on the other hand, has been a slog.

  • Rage 2, played about 5 hours of it so far and i like it. I don’t think i’m too far into it yet.

It seems to have taken a lot of gameplay cues from 2016 Doom.

  • I’m playing “move my furniture while my floors get polished”. It’s kind of like Tetris, but shit. Not recommended, one star.

    • Used to call it furnitris. Then stopped calling it that because it sounded rubbish.

In conclusion, nothing about moving furniture is entertaining.

  • Travelling, so going to finally give Xenoblade Chronicles 2 a go after I picked it up in the eShop sale. It’ll also give me time to get through BoxBoy+BoxGirl and finish Kirby and Yoshi in co-op

  • Hopefully I’ll get in an early sesh of Which Politician Is Lieing The Least tomorrow, then probably spend time with Swag and Sorcery. Fun little game, I doubt it will hold my interest for months, but I’m enjoying it for now which is all I ask.

Or maybe poker and alcohol (in no particular order), I dunno yet.

  • Will probably play more of Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age on the PS4.
Want the Switch version for all the post game content but no stores seem to have it right now.

  • Oh man, stuck in the middle of so much RPG goodness…..

Divinity Original Sin with the missus. 80 hours in
Pillars of Eternity. 40 hours in
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. 38 hours in

Throw into that some board gaming and some awesome beer. Weekend set!
