If you’re lucky enough to have parents that appreciate and understand games, you’re doing well. But there’s a point where it’s cool that your parents understand games, and then there’s the point where they understand them well enough to completely wreck your shit.
That’s the unfortunate misery that Twitter user elunalol found herself in recently. In a message chat with her mother, which she shared online, the user’s mother started guilting them for missing two phone calls.
Missing a call from your Mum: bad enough. When they nutted out the reasons why, the Mum did a 180 and suggested that they go back to playing League of Legends. “Always die because no focus. Call after,” the mum taunted, telling her daughter to get the “beron [sic]” first before calling back.

The bit where the mother finds a way to answer the question while guilting even further is the most Mother Thing Imaginable. It reminds me when I used to use a PC in the study room, and Mum would be sitting next to me watching me play Counter-Strike, giving me shit whenever I lost a clutch.
Absolutely brutal. But at least she was OK with me playing games, so things could be worse.
