PlayStation Plus Swaps Out Pro Evo 2019 For Detroit: Become Human

The PS Plus games for July had already been revealed, but in a surprise twist, Sony has swapped out one of the games at the last minute.

The new lineup for July includes Detroit: Become Human, replacing Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 as one of the two free games for the month alongside Horizon Chase Turbo.

The change was so last minute, that the official blog post has simply been updated with the references to Pro Evo 2019 struck out:

The official post doesn’t explain the sudden change, but for most people Detroit is a vast improvement on any version of Pro Evo. The version of Detroit is the deluxe edition, which comes with the remastered version of Heavy Rain as well.

Along with the Outrun-style racer Horizon Chase Turbo, users can add the following to their account (provided you have an active PS+ subscription):

  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (inc. Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel)
  • Sonic Mania
  • Horizon Chase Turbo
  • Detroit: Become Human (inc. Heavy Rain)

Not a bad day for PS4 freebies. Detroit and Horizon Chase Turbo will be available until August 5, while the other games are due to lapse shortly, so add them to your account (you don’t need to download the game) while you can.
