Watch The Pokemon Sword & Shield And Luigi’s Mansion Direct Here

On top of everything that’s already released this week, Nintendo has a nice surprise. It’s 40 minutes of games to show off, including new footage from Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokemon Sword & Shield, and it’s taking place Thursday morning.

You can watch the Direct below from 0800 AEST tomorrow morning, or 0600 AWST / 0730 ACST / 1000 NZST if you live in those timezones. The YouTube embed will let you set a reminder as well, for everyone in all other timezones, or if you just want the push notification.

I’ll be keeping my eyes out for Psyduck in the Sword & Shield footage, because it’s just not the same game without the champagne swigging comedic relief. More info on Luigi’s Mansion will be nice as well, but it’s really the indies that are going to fill out the gaps for October and December that I’d like to know more of. (When’s Windjammers 2 launching?) Give us a surprise drop, Nintendo.

  • Just be patient Alex Walker I’m not sure if Windjammers 2 will be in tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct but we’ll just have to tune in tomorrow morning to find out.
As for me here’s what I’m expecting in tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct.
First up a release date for the Banjo-Kazooie DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass.
The upcoming release for Shin Megami Tensei V on the Nintendo Switch which I’m thinking will be called Persona 5 from the team at Atlus even though Joker became the first ever DLC to appear on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate earlier this year.
A release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3 even though I already completed Luigi’s Mansion on the Nintendo Gamecube and Luigi’s Mansion 2 on the Nintendo 3DS.
And a November release for Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games for the Nintendo Switch.
It’s all heating up to tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct as for you Alex Walker hoping to see Windjammers 2 coming to Nintendo Switch don’t get your hopes up yet just be patient.

  • Hopefully get some more info on my most anticipated game, a game that is surely a contender for game of the year, nay, decade.

    Untitled goose game.

  • Rumours have been aflying for Smash news.
Based on a pop up advertisement in a Japanese 7/11 and a previous one, Banjo is expected to drop before or by September 15.
An accidental and now removed copyright to SNK on the Smash Bros website has a lot of people speculating that Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury/ King of Fighters will be the next DLC character, while a leaker with some history for accurate leaks (he called Piranha Plant and something else) put his weight behind Ryu Hayubasa being the next announced character.

I’m not sure if we can even expect #4 to be pronounced tomorrow, but it’s interesting times we’re in either way.

    • I think more people were speculating the tank from Metal Slug than Terry.

Of course, it could be Miss X since SNK Heroines is a Switch title
