On Thursday, Blizzard was supposed to be holding a big launch event for the Switch version of Overwatch at the Nintendo World Store in New York City. That event has now been cancelled by Blizzard.

Hrm. I wonder why.

2 more weeks until Blizzcon, gonna start sourcing local popcorn merchants

    Oh bother...

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we are not at liberty to say why."

Despicably cowardly and stubbornly arrogant move by Blizzard.

If you don't want negative press, don't do the thing that people hate. But since they refuse to budge on their China-appeasing bullshit, all they can do is hide in the West.

    Craven scum.

I don't really care about Blizzard one way or the other, but I thought they did budge.
Based on the headlines I've seen...

Everyone involved was still banned. Actual cheaters didn't get banned, just disqualified from one specific tourney (the GrandMasters).

The difference might be semantic, but it's important: they didn't budge from appeasing China. They only stretched as far as they could without upsetting China. The punishment is still grotesquely disproportionate and unjust, and they've refused to acknowledge the truth about their reasoning. The lying isn't helping them any.

And I thought Overwatch fans we’re going to be excited for the launch of Blizzard’s Overwatch at the Nintendo World Store in New York only to find out that it’s been cancelled by the team at Blizzard Entertainment.
Oh well at least we can look forward to Overwatch arriving on the Nintendo Switch coming out tomorrow which I am going to download.
With only 2 weeks left until Blizzcon in November I hope we get some news from Blizzard Entertainment on an upcoming Overwatch sequel or perhaps an upcoming game update for Overwatch on the Nintendo Switcheither way I’m still happy that Blizzard Entertainment is bringing Overwatch on to the Nintendo Switch and with only 1 more DLC fighter left in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass I think I agree with Jeff Kaplan’s idea to bring Overwatch’s Tracer on to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate I agree with Jeff Kaplan and I think Overwatch’s Tracer should be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as our last DLC fighter.
