Stranger Things Is Leaving Hawkins For Season 4

Good news: Stranger Things is coming back, and it’s leaving Hawkins behind.

Netflix overnight confirmed that Stranger Things has been renewed for a fourth season, with the Duffer brothers having signed a multi-year deal to continue making content for the streaming service. So it was an inevitability that Stranger Things would return, but what’s nice to see is that the series is finally leaving the town of Hawkins behind after everything it’s suffered.

The third season of Stranger Things was a bit of a rollercoaster as the cast went through very different journeys, but by the end the series maintained its trademark humour, some of its best motifs, and largely managed to stick the ending. Hawkins has had its share of heroes — now its time for a different place to be saved. Chicago, perhaps?
